Everything founders ask us.

Applying
No. You can submit your application without registering. An account is only created after your payment is confirmed, using the Application ID you receive.
Your founder details, startup basics (name, industry, stage, team size), and the pitch itself — problem, solution, customers, competitors, funding raised so far, and investment sought. A pitch deck is optional but helpful. See the full walkthrough for everything you might want ready.
Yes. Xylento accepts applications at any stage — idea, prototype, MVP, launched, or already generating revenue. We evaluate the founder and the idea together, not a traction checklist.
Once your review fee is confirmed, your application is locked as the record we review, so its content can't change afterward. Your account profile details — contact info, links, timezone — stay editable at any time.
Yes, it's optional. PDFs, slide decks, and images are all accepted, and a deck often helps our team understand your idea faster.
Fees & payment
The fee keeps submissions serious and covers the time our team spends personally reading every application — it is not refunded regardless of outcome.
An optional $7.99 add-on at checkout that moves your application ahead in the review queue, instead of waiting in the standard rolling order.
Card payments processed through Stripe. Xylento never sees or stores your card number — Stripe handles that directly.
Review process
Any stage — idea, prototype, MVP, launched, or already generating revenue. We evaluate the founder and the idea together, not a traction checklist.
Typically 3–5 business days after payment is confirmed. You'll be notified by email and in your dashboard as soon as your status changes.
A member of the Xylento team reads every application in full. There is no automated scoring or AI screening step involved in the decision.
Yes. You'll hear back either way, with a specific reason rather than a generic rejection.
After payment, you receive a unique Application ID and can create an account to track status and message our team. A reviewer is assigned, and you'll hear back personally either way.
Investment terms
Instead of a fixed fee, Xylento's return is tied directly to your company's outcome — a target range of 5–30%/year on capital deployed, reflecting the risk and stage of the company. It's not a guarantee, and exact terms are agreed individually per deal. See our revenue share explainer for a deeper breakdown.
Our published model centers on a revenue share tied to outcome rather than a traditional equity stake. Specific structures are discussed individually if your application moves into an investment discussion.
Account & security
No, it's optional for every account, though we recommend enabling it. You can choose either an authenticator app (TOTP) or a one-time email code. Details on how we secure accounts.
Use one of the single-use recovery codes generated when you enabled two-factor authentication. You can also regenerate your authenticator enrollment at any time from your dashboard's Security panel.
Yes. Founders can permanently delete their account and personal data from the Security panel in their dashboard at any time.
Data & privacy
Yes. Applications are visible only to the Xylento review team and are never shared or used to train automated systems. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
No. Xylento is a Nordic company backed by a Nordic investor network, but applications are open to founders anywhere with a good idea.
